The Commander Appoints Three Generals To Civil Positions In The Ministry, Here Is The List

The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Agus Subiyanto, has assigned three TNI generals to hold civil positions within various Ministries and Agencies. This appointment is detailed in the TNI Commander’s Decree No. 1545/XII/2024, which was received by Kompas.com on Monday, December 9, 2024. The three generals appointed are Major General Maryono as the Inspector General of the Ministry of Transportation, Major General Irham Waroihan as the Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture, and Rear Admiral Ian Heriyawan at the Hajj Organizing Agency.

In the decree, these three senior TNI officers have also been reassigned as special staff to the chief of staff in their respective branches. Prior to this assignment, Major General Maryono served as the Chief of Staff Advisor to the TNI Commander, while Major General Irham Waroihan was previously the Deputy Inspector General of the Indonesian Army. Rear Admiral Ian Heriyawan held the position of Head of the TNI Mental Development Center before this appointment. In addition to these three generals, the TNI Commander has also carried out transfers involving several other senior officers. Major General Kunto Arief Wibowo has now taken on the role of Commander of the Joint Defense Area Command I, succeeding Rear Admiral Rachmad Jayadi, who has been reassigned as a senior officer at the Indonesian Navy Headquarters in preparation for retirement.

The position of Commander of the Presidential Security Forces has been reassigned to Major General Achiruddin, who previously served as the Commander of Military Region VI/Mulawarman. Major General Rudy Rachmat Nugraha has now assumed the role of Commander of Military Region VI/Mulawarman. Additionally, Lieutenant General Mohammad Fadjar has received a new assignment as the Commander of the Strategic Command (Pangkostrad), taking over from Lieutenant General Mohamad Hasan, who is now the Commander of the Doctrine, Education, and Training Command of the Indonesian Army.

Furthermore, Lieutenant General Nugroho Sulistyo Budi has been appointed as the Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), while Major General R. Sidharta Wisnu Graha will fill the position left vacant by Nugroho as the Inspector General of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN). Both appointments are pending the issuance of a presidential decree before they can officially assume their roles.
