PT DesktopIP Teknologi Indonesia, a leading digital technology company in Indonesia, has achieved a prestigious award as First Runner-Up in the ICT Services category at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2024 held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. Phidi Soepangkat, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DesktopIP, explained the key reasons behind the selection of their flagship product, IfVirty, in the competition. He emphasized that the concept of Sovereign Cloud, particularly regarding data privacy, is often misunderstood as merely the location of data storage within a country's jurisdiction. He stated that True Sovereign Cloud, as promoted by DesktopIP, goes beyond this, incorporating essential indicators such as complete control over technology, costs, and data security management.

“Our Sovereign Cloud concept aims to free nations from biased data regulation dominance. We want to demonstrate that digital sovereignty is not just about where data is stored, but also about a country's ability to maintain full control over the technology developed and manage costs independently,” Phidi said.
