Samsung Introduces AI Hybrid Cooling Technology In Its Latest Refrigerator At CES 2025

Thursday, 26 Dec 2024

Samsung has announced the launch of an innovative refrigerator featuring 'AI Hybrid Cooling' technology, which will be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 in January.

This technology is designed to provide more efficient and precise cooling compared to traditional refrigerators, utilizing a combination of AI algorithms and advanced thermal systems

The latest Samsung refrigerator integrates a conventional compressor with a semiconductor-based Peltier module.

The Peltier module plays a crucial role in accelerating cooling, particularly when storing hot food, loading large quantities of items, or when internal temperatures rise.

Under normal conditions, the refrigerator relies entirely on an AI-powered inverter compressor, which consumes less energy and automatically adjusts its speed for maximum efficiency.

Another notable feature is the Peltier module's ability to regulate temperature with high precision, including heating functions.

The Hybrid Precise Cooling technology in this refrigerator also minimizes temperature fluctuations during automatic defrost cycles, ensuring that food remains fresh for a longer duration.

For instance, the freshness of meat and salmon can last up to 40 percent and 20 percent longer, respectively.

This refrigerator prototype boasts a capacity of 900 liters, with an additional 25 liters of storage space provided by the Peltier module.

According to Gizmochina.com, on December 25, 2024, its design includes deeper shelves, enhancing storage capacity by up to 13.8 percent.

Users can even store more beverages compared to traditional refrigerators, offering added convenience.

Samsung's latest refrigerator also meets the highest energy efficiency standards with Energy Star certification.

The mass production model, RM80F23VM, is scheduled for release in 2025, making it an appealing choice for consumers prioritizing sustainability and efficiency.
