Saving Without Being Influenced By FOMO

The youth, particularly teenagers, are currently surrounded by the allure of trends and instant lifestyles. However, it is evident that not all adolescents succumb to these lifestyle influences. 

One student from SMP Negeri 12, Latifa Zulfa, has discovered a valuable experience that will shape her future. She has transformed her perspective on financial management through her participation in bluAcademy TGIF!: Teens Guide Into Finance. 

"I have gained a better understanding of how to manage finances, save effectively, and avoid unnecessary expenditures," Latifa stated during an interview at Menara Global, Kuningan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, January 30, 2025. 

Prior to engaging in this program, Latifa admitted to frequently struggling with managing her allowance. Saving in a piggy bank often resulted in withdrawing money for less important matters, preventing her savings from growing. 

Through interactive sessions with financial experts, Latifa now recognizes the significance of financial planning, prioritizing expenses, and setting savings goals.
