Xiaomi Launches Xiaomi 15 Series, Featuring Powerful Photography Technology

Xiaomi officially introduced the Xiaomi 15 Series, in Barcelona, ??Spain, Sunday (2/3) local time, offering high photography and videography capabilities thanks to the Leica Summilux optical lens, which is designed for optimal performance in various lighting conditions. 

Quoted from a press release, Monday, the Xiaomi 15 Series consists of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes in three color choices, namely Black, White, and Silver Chrome. 

The Silver Chrome variant uses aerospace-grade glass fiber material combined with PU leather for better durability. The design is inspired by classic cameras, with retro touches such as stitching. 

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra's main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYT-900 sensor with a Leica Summilux lens, which has an aperture of Æ’/1.63 and a variable focal length of 23mm, 28mm, and 35mm. 

This technology enables optimal performance in low light conditions, producing detailed images even at night. 

Xiaomi also launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photography Kit Legend Edition, a premium accessory for photography enthusiasts. 

This kit features an iconic red decorative ring, a dedicated UI in Fastshot mode, thumb support and a detachable shutter button, a multifunctional 67mm filter adapter, and an integrated 2000mAh battery for longer use. 

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 comes in four colors, namely Black, White, Green, and Liquid Silver. The design features a micro-curved aluminum frame that is claimed to increase durability by 33 percent, and a screen with an ultra-thin 1.38mm bezel. 

This series is equipped with a trio camera system with a focal range of 14mm to 120mm, including a 23mm Leica Summilux main camera, a 60mm telephoto camera, and a 14mm ultra-wide camera. 

For telephoto photography, the Xiaomi 15 features a Leica 60mm floating telephoto camera with a 50MP sensor, which is capable of capturing details from a distance while producing macro photos up to a distance of 10 cm.
