Tuesday, 29 Apr 2025

Running events in various cities continue to attract public interest. Beyond promoting fitness, event organizers and communities are increasingly creative in offering exciting and memorable running experiences, drawing hundreds of participants from diverse backgrounds. Recently held in Bandung, West Java, one such event successfully engaged over 300 running enthusiasts to complete a 5-kilometer run around the city's landmarks. This activity combined community spirit, physical challenges, and the introduction of innovative products in the sports world.

The event, titled Sana Sini Berlari (SSB), saw Eagle collaborating with the Running Is Our Therapy (RIOT) Bandung community and partnering with 16 other running groups. Besides serving as a gathering and running opportunity, this event also showcased the Alpha ST, Eagle's latest performance running shoe. Sana Sini Berlari reflects Eagle's strong commitment to supporting the urban running trend while encouraging individuals to enhance their performance. Running is viewed not only as a sport but also as a lifestyle. A 2023 survey by the Indonesia Running Club revealed that 68% of runners in Jakarta and Bandung were motivated to start running due to social media trends promoting running as a healthy and fashionable lifestyle.

However, as the trend grows, more individuals are transitioning from casual runners to serious training, participating in long runs and races. To accommodate the diverse needs of runners, Eagle offers a variety of running shoes equipped with the latest technology. 'This year, Eagle is introducing several new running shoe models designed specifically for different types of runners. For instance, the Alpha ST model is a Super Trainer (ST) running shoe featuring the latest LEAP technology,' stated Aulya Elyasa, Head of Brand Marketing at Eagle. This technology focuses on responsive cushioning, making it suitable for various running events as well as training sessions for runners.
