The technology, information, and communication (ICT) industry players are calling for national collaboration to face future challenges and opportunities. The Digital Transformation Indonesia Conference & Expo (DTI-CX) 2025 is one of the forums to drive this mission.
This annual event brings together more than 100 representatives of technology solution providers, associations, BUMN, and strategic industry players to strengthen cross-sector collaboration.
The General Chairperson of the Indonesian Telematics Society (Mastel) Sarwoto Atmosutarno said that harmony in innovation can only be realized when all stakeholders - government, industry, associations, and academics - collaborate in a mutually supportive ecosystem.
"The importance of building a concrete collaborative model to create an inclusive and sustainable national digital governance," said Sarwoto.
Sarwoto also highlighted the success of DTI-CX 2024 as a strategic forum that brings together national and international ICT industry stakeholders, and creates various concrete synergies in the fields of fiber & tower, data center, cybersecurity, to big data and AI.
Furthermore, according to him, DTI-CX 2025 should be interpreted as an accelerator of policies based on industry reality, and sector leaders are expected to not only be visitors, but also become initiators of cross-industry collaborative programs.
In line with this, the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) Muhammad Arif emphasized that aligned incentives between government, private sector, and community, collaboration and long-term investment in digital transformation are very important for sustainability. APJII encourages the design of a collaborative ecosystem based on business models, not ad-hoc projects.
In that context, Arif sees DTI-CX not just as a place to show off technology, but a strategic platform to test the efficiency of technology in increasing the business value of ISPs.
"For APJII, DTI-CX is a place where ISPs meet solution providers who think in terms of operational efficiency and local traffic monetization. APJII will continue to encourage dialogue between technology providers, regulators, and market players on how innovation can strengthen the ISP financing structure, from cost per Mbps, Return on Invested Capital (ROIC), to potential new revenues based on digital services," he said.
