Sun Life Indonesia Promotes Healthy Lifestyle Through 3X3 Basketball

Sun Life Indonesia held the Sun Life Hoops+Health 3X3 Basketball Challenge to encourage a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation. This step is part of the company's long-term commitment to building a more physically and mentally active society. 

The event took place from May 31 to June 1, 2025 at Gandaria City Mall, Jakarta. Sun Life collaborated with global sports development organization Beyond Sport to realize this initiative. 

This activity is not just a basketball game. Sun Life uses sports as a medium to form healthy habits and expand public access to an active lifestyle. 

"Through Sun Life Hoops Health, we want to present a real form of Sun Life Indonesia's long-term commitment to assisting the community in living a healthier, more active, and balanced life. This event is not just a game, but also a symbol of a joint movement to expand access to inclusive and educational sports," said Albertus Wiroyo, President Director of Sun Life Indonesia during a press conference in Jakarta, Saturday (5/31/2025). This strategy brings together various community groups in one joint activity. Children, parents, basketball communities, celebrities, and professional athletes are present in an atmosphere that encourages active involvement. This approach strengthens the educational value of the program that has been running since 2023. Sun Life combines sports, training, and nutrition education into one sustainable platform. 

The Hoops + Health program has reached more than 30 schools and communities in the Jakarta area. Through field renovations, local coach training, and equipment donations, Sun Life has formed an ecosystem that supports a healthy lifestyle. This initiative was strengthened by a 3X3 celebrity basketball match. Ibnu Jamil and several public figures were present to show that sports can be a fun and positive activity.

Through this exciting and energetic match, we want to show that sports are a fun medium to encourage healthy habits, strengthen social connections, and create a more positive environment," said Ibnu Jamil.
