Vivo X Fold 5 Is Said To Be Waterproof, Dustproof, And Dropproof

Vivo has shown some of the advantages of its latest generation foldable phone, the vivo X Fold 5, which is touted as waterproof, dustproof, and dropproof. 

Gizmochina's broadcast on Friday (6/6) stated that the vivo X Fold 5 will be the first foldable phone in the industry to have three-layer protection, namely waterproof, dustproof, and dropproof. 

According to vivo's upload on the Weibo social media account, the device offers high-level protection against water and dust. 

The Vivo X Fold 5 has passed IPX8 certification, which shows that the device remains responsive even when used in water at a depth of three meters. 

Through uploads on social media, vivo shows that the device still functions well when placed in an aquarium containing ornamental fish. 

The vivo X Fold 5 foldable phone has an IPX9 rating for protection against high-pressure water jets and an IPX9+ rating for the ability to fold underwater. 

Vivo claims that the foldable phone can be opened and closed 1,000 times in water at a depth of one meter. 

In addition, the Vivo X Fold 5 is rated IP5X for dust resistance, offering the best level of dust protection in the foldable phone industry. 

The Vivo X Fold 5 is expected to use a 6.53-inch LTPO outer display and an 8.03-inch 2K+ AMOLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate. 

The Vivo X Fold 5 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. 

The foldable phone is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 30W wireless charging. 

The Vivo X Fold 5 is said to be equipped with a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a triple-lens system that includes a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope lens that offers 3x optical zoom.
