Samsung Galaxy Ultra S26 Rumors: Small Battery Capacity, Losing To Oppo – Xiaomi

Wednesday, 11 Jun 2025

South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung is reportedly not going to make a big leap in the battery sector model in its latest flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Although the launch is still quite a long way off, leaks from very credible industry sources confirm that Samsung will maintain the 5,000 mAh battery capacity in the next Ultra model, just like the previous generations. If there is an increase, the capacity is estimated not to exceed 5,400 mAh. Reported from Phone Arena, Monday (6/9/2025), Samsung's decision is considered a very slow step in presenting battery innovation, especially when compared to competitors from China.

Several flagship phones from Xiaomi, Oppo, to OnePlus now use batteries with a capacity of 6,000 to 7,000 mAh, some even reaching 7,500 mAh thanks to denser and more efficient silicon-carbon technology.

Meanwhile, the recently released Galaxy S25 Edge is only equipped with a 3,900 mAh battery, a figure that was also maintained by Samsung executives in an interview. Samsung is thought to still be traumatized by the Galaxy Note 7 incident that had problems with the battery sector, so it is very careful in increasing capacity. Slow Fast Charging Development Meanwhile, GSMArena reported that the charging speed on the Galaxy S26 Ultra is also predicted to remain at 45W.
