SketchUp 2025 Offers New Features And AI For Wider Design Exploration

Artificial intelligence (AI) is now playing a significant role in changing the way professionals work in the design world, including architecture and 3D modeling that can speed up the design process, improve accuracy, and facilitate visualization. 

Benny Dewanto, Managing Director of PT Piranti Nusantara Teknologi (Piranusa), a company that provides various software including SketchUp, explained that AI is a strategic tool in facing increasingly dynamic industry challenges. 

"The development of design technology is increasingly advanced according to the needs of professionals. SketchUp, as one of the 3D design software that is widely used in various sectors, now presents AI-based features such as Autoshape and Generate Anything," he said in a seminar entitled "SketchUp 2025: New Feature & AI in SketchUp" in Jakarta, Wednesday (11/6/2025). 

The activity was held by Piranusa together with ACA Pacific Indonesia, and SketchUp. The seminar presented a Special Guest Speaker from Principal Architect Atelier Riri, Ar Novriansyah Yakub, Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) who discussed "Exploration of Contemporary Architecture with Atelier Riri". 

Other speakers were Derrick Chong as ASEAN Lead SketchUp and Kiki Richardus Susilobroto, Technical Manager AEC, ACA Pacific Indonesia as the speaker who discussed SketchUp. 

This agenda aims to provide direct understanding to architects, designers, and creative professionals about the latest features of SketchUp 2025, as well as how AI can be practically integrated into everyday design workflows.
