4 Promo Tickets For Whoosh During School Holidays, Group Discounts Of 20 Percent Available

In celebration of the school holiday season, KAI Group, through PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), has launched various Whoosh promotions to assist the public in planning their travels. The discounts on Whoosh tickets can reach up to 50 percent, covering regular travel, group bookings, and educational trips for students. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance public accessibility to international standard rapid transportation. "The school holiday represents a strategic moment for community movement. Through a variety of promotional fare schemes on Whoosh, KAI Group aims to broaden public access to modern transportation that meets global standards," stated Anne Purba, Vice President of Public Relations at KAI, in a press release as quoted on Wednesday (June 18, 2025).

What are the promotional ticket schemes for Whoosh?

There are four promotional ticket schemes for Whoosh offered during the school holiday period:

1. Group Discount of 20 Percent Applicable for Premium Economy class travel with a minimum of 20 passengers in a single group. A discount of 20 percent is provided for all group members.

2. Frequent Whoosher Card (FWC) Passengers who purchase the FWC can enjoy a flat rate of Rp 200,000 per trip—saving up to 43 percent compared to the maximum fare during high season. The FWC is available in two package types:

Gold: 10 trips within 60 days

Silver: 6 trips within 30 days

3. Whoosh Edutrip: Discount of up to 50 Percent for Students Through this program, groups of students from elementary to high school with a minimum of 20 participants can receive a discount of up to 50 percent on Whoosh tickets. This program encourages outdoor learning activities during the holiday period.

4. Flexible Fare Starting from Rp 225,000 A dynamic pricing scheme is applied to the Premium Economy class, allowing passengers to obtain ticket prices starting from Rp 225,000. The fare amount is adjusted based on the time of booking, occupancy levels, and the day of departure.

When does the Whoosh promotion take effect? 

The entire Whoosh promotional program is valid during the school holiday period, specifically from June to July 2025. This timeframe has been selected due to the increased mobility of the public for family activities, tourism, and education. The Frequent Whoosher Card can be utilized according to the validity period of each package from the date of purchase. Additionally, group bookings and Edutrip reservations must be made at least five days prior to the scheduled departure. 

What are the requirements to receive a discount on Whoosh tickets? 

The following are some terms and conditions for participating in the Whoosh ticket promotion: Group promotions and Edutrip are applicable for a minimum of 20 participants and must be booked through the official KCIC WhatsApp number no later than five days before departure. The Frequent Whoosher Card can be purchased directly at the Whoosh station and is valid for a specific duration based on the selected package. Dynamic pricing is automatically applied during ticket bookings based on time, occupancy, and travel day.
