Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati reported that the realization of Village Fund disbursement has reached Rp40.34 trillion as of July 14, 2025, which is equivalent to 58.46 percent of the budget ceiling of Rp69 trillion.

"Of this amount, Rp1.62 trillion has been allocated for Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for Villages, benefiting 7,918 villages across Indonesia," said Sri Mulyani on Instagram @smindrawati, as monitored in Jakarta on Monday.

She explained that the Village Fund serves as an instrument to directly promote village development.

The budget is also utilized to improve infrastructure access, enhance basic services such as education and health, and encourage productive economic activities in villages.

On the other hand, Sri Mulyani stated that the government is also present in the community through Village BLT,

Village BLT is direct assistance aimed at helping vulnerable families remain resilient and productive, especially in the face of price fluctuations and global economic uncertainties.

"Let us collectively oversee the utilization of the Village Fund to ensure it is effective, targeted, and has a tangible impact on development," said Sri Mulyani.

Since its initial allocation in 2015, the Village Fund has reached over 75,000 villages throughout Indonesia.

The objective of the Village Fund is to protect and empower villages to become strong, advanced, self-sufficient, and democratic, as stipulated in Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages.

The budget for the Village Fund in 2025 is allocated at Rp69 trillion, with the allocation calculated in the fiscal year (FY) preceding the current fiscal year based on a specific formula.

The provisions state that the basic allocation is set at 65 percent of the Village Fund budget, amounting to Rp44.84 trillion. The affirmative allocation is set at 1 percent of the Village Fund budget, which equals Rp689 billion. The performance allocation is established at 4 percent of the Village Fund budget, totaling Rp2.75 trillion.

Finally, the formula allocation is determined at 30 percent of the Village Fund budget, plus the remainder from the calculations of the basic, affirmative, and performance allocations that have not yet been distributed to the villages, amounting to Rp20.7 trillion.
