Atome Finance Is Addressing Climate Change By Planting Mangroves On Genteng Kecil Island

Atome Finance Indonesia ("Atome") is committed to environmental sustainability by implementing a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that involves planting mangroves on Genteng Kecil Island. This initiative helps mitigate climate change and raises awareness about the importance of protecting coastal ecosystems in response to global climate challenges.

Climate change poses a real threat to the planet, with rising carbon emissions and widespread ecosystem damage. Mangroves are an effective natural solution, capable of absorbing carbon dioxide at rates up to five times greater than tropical forests. They also filter pollutants and provide habitats for various coastal flora and fauna.

By planting 100 mangrove trees on Genteng Kecil Island, Atome contributes to reducing carbon emissions by approximately 3,300 kg CO? per year, while also aiding in the preservation of coastal ecosystems.

This activity not only supports climate change mitigation but also empowers local communities by involving them directly in the planting process and environmental awareness training.

The training offers deep insights into the causes and impacts of climate change, as well as mitigation steps that can be taken, aiming to enhance awareness and encourage collective action for nature conservation.
