Today, Prabowo Will Launch The Merah Putih Village Cooperative

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to launch the Merah Putih Village Cooperative in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District, Klaten Regency, Central Java, today, Monday (July 21, 2025). This was confirmed by the Head of Presidential Communications/PCO Hasan Nasbi some time ago. "The location will likely be at the Village Cooperative in Klaten. And this also marks the launch of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative program, which will expand to 80,000 cooperatives across all villages and sub-districts in Indonesia," Hasan said, as quoted on Monday (July 21, 2025). 

Similarly, Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Budi Arie Setiadi stated that the Merah Putih Village Cooperative is ready to launch today. "The Kopdes launch is ready," he explained. 

Later, Prabowo will address 103 Kopdes locations across Indonesia via video teleconference. At least 8,523 village heads or managers of the Merah Putih village/sub-district cooperatives in Central Java are scheduled to attend the launch of Kopdes tomorrow, along with 35 Regents/Mayors. 

This program is an initiative of President Prabowo to strengthen the village economy and independence. Kopdes Merah Putih aims to strengthen the village economy, increase farmers' exchange rates, create jobs, and increase village financial inclusion. 81,147 Kopdes formed. Meanwhile, according to the official Kopdes Merah Putih website, merahputih.kop.id, 81,147 Red and White Village Cooperatives had been formed ahead of the launch. As of the end of last week, the Directorate General of General Legal Administration (Ditjen AHU) of the Ministry of Law (Kemenkum) had approved 80,068 Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP). Director General of AHU Widodo said that the 80,068 KDMP and KKMP had exceeded the target of 80,000 units in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 9 of 2025 concerning the Acceleration of the Establishment of Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives.
