The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle has issued a decree regarding the expulsion of Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Bobby Nasution, and 27 other members from the party. They are no longer affiliated with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.
This decision was announced by the Chairman of the Honorary Board of the DPP PDIP, Komarudin Watubun. The expulsion of Jokowi was communicated through Decree Number 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024.
"I received direct instructions from the Chairperson of PDIP to officially announce this, in accordance with the party's statutes and regulations, in front of all the Chairpersons of the DPD Party across Indonesia. The DPP will announce the decree of expulsion concerning Joko Widodo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Bobby Nasution, and 27 other expelled members," stated Komarudin in a video received by detikcom on Monday, December 16, 2024.
The expulsion decree for Jokowi is as follows:
1. Decree Number 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024 regarding the expulsion of Joko Widodo from the membership of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.
The Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle has considered and taken into account various factors, and has decided to establish the following:
1. To impose organizational sanctions in the form of expulsion on Joko Widodo from the membership of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.
2. To prohibit the aforementioned individual from engaging in any activities or holding any positions under the name of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.
3. Effective immediately upon the issuance of this expulsion decree, the DPP of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle shall have no association and shall not be held responsible for any actions taken by Joko Widodo.
4. The DPP of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle will present this decree at the upcoming congress.
5. This decree is effective from the date of its establishment, and any future errors will be reviewed and corrected as necessary.
