Friday, 27 Dec 2024

Indonesia Re has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the "Informative SOE" award at the 2024 Public Information Disclosure Awards Night from the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia. This award recognizes public bodies for their commitment to transparency in line with Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure.

Robbi Yanuar Walid, Director of Risk Management, Compliance, Human Resources, and Corporate Secretary at Indonesia Re, expressed gratitude for this achievement. He stated, "This award reflects the hard work of the entire Indonesia Re team in upholding the principles of transparency and accountability.

As a state-owned enterprise, we have a duty to provide quality information services to the public. We are also continuously innovating through the digitalization of our reinsurance service systems to enhance transparency and accountability in our business processes, as well as to improve public understanding of the insurance industry through various programs we have implemented throughout the year," Robbi added.

Donny Yoesgiantoro, Chairman of the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, praised Indonesia Re and other public bodies for their consistent commitment to information transparency. "This year, we monitored and evaluated 363 public bodies across various categories.

A total of 162 public bodies received the Informative designation, a significant increase from 139 in 2023. This shows a growing commitment among public bodies, including state-owned enterprises, to uphold transparency principles. We hope this award encourages other public bodies to enhance their implementation of the Public Information Disclosure Law," Donny explained.

During the same event, Nunik Purwanti, Secretary of the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, emphasized the importance of information transparency in achieving good governance.

Information openness is a crucial pillar for promoting good governance and building public trust in the government. This award serves not just as a symbol but as a reminder that transparency and accountability are essential for achieving Indonesia's Golden Vision 2045, said Nunik.

In its efforts to enhance information openness, Indonesia Re has implemented several innovations, including:

1. Digitalization of Information Services – by developing the company’s website and Public Information Documentation (PPID), creating a PPID application, and optimizing social media to provide clear, quick, and easily accessible information to the public.

2. The ‘Indonesia Re Teaches’ Program – aimed at improving insurance literacy among the community, especially students and young adults.

3. The ‘ReInfokus’ Magazine and ‘Reinpodcast’ Channel – designed to strengthen insurance and reinsurance literacy and inclusion in society.

4. Public Information Service Office – a walk-in service to receive, process, and respond to public information requests.

Indonesia Re remains committed to fulfilling its obligations as a public body by regularly providing updated information to the community. This initiative aligns with the primary goal of supporting transparent, accountable, and inclusive corporate governance.

This award motivates Indonesia Re to continue its best efforts in enhancing public trust in state-owned enterprises and supporting the vision of a more transparent and advanced Indonesia.
