Rosan Roeslani, the CEO of the Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara (BPI Danantara), met with President Prabowo Subianto. During this meeting, Rosan reported receiving several directives from Prabowo. The encounter took place at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, May 8, and included a lunch discussion.
Rosan stated, 'We discussed our activities at Danantara and our future plans while having lunch together.' He also reported on the assessment of high-ranking officials in state-owned enterprises (BUMN), which was one of Prabowo's key directives during a previous Townhall Meeting at Danantara. 'There is a strong emphasis on conducting assessments of the existing BUMN,' he noted.
Rosan further explained that Prabowo instructed that individuals with clear career paths and integrity should be selected for leadership positions in state-owned companies. 'It is essential that those chosen have a clear career trajectory and integrity. We are currently implementing this and other related initiatives,' Rosan added. The former Chairman of Kadin mentioned that Prabowo insisted that only the best talents, selected through a robust meritocratic system, should hold strategic positions in BUMN. 'As the President stated, it is about best practices and selecting the best talent based on meritocracy,' Rosan concluded. Previously, Prabowo had called for a comprehensive evaluation of BUMN management, emphasizing the need to assess character, ethics, and performance. He asserted that if any BUMN directors are found to be negligent, engaging in improper practices, or abusing their authority, it would be better to dismiss them and replace them with more suitable candidates.
