President Prabowo Subianto has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday (17/5/2025) evening. Based on information from the Presidential Secretariat on Sunday (18/5/2025), the plane carrying Prabowo and his limited entourage landed at Don Mueang Royal Thai Air Force Base at around 22.00 local time. Upon arrival at the airport, Prabowo was officially welcomed by the Thai government, starting from Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Finance Pichai Chunhavajira, Minister of Trade Pichai Naripthaphan, Thai Ambassador to Indonesia Prapan Disyatat.
Also present were representatives from the Republic of Indonesia, namely the Indonesian Ambassador to Bangkok Rachmat Budiman and the Indonesian Defense Attaché to Bangkok Colonel Cke Faisal Rahmat Hutagalung. Meanwhile, Prabowo's presence was also greeted by an honor guard who accompanied the President's steps to the vehicle.
After the welcoming procession, Prabowo went straight to the hotel where he was staying during the visit. During his stay in Bangkok, Prabowo is scheduled to carry out a number of agendas starting with an official audience with Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn.
Furthermore, an official welcome by Thailand's Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra followed by a bilateral meeting of the delegations of both countries. Accompanying Prabowo on the flight to Thailand are Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
