Dony Oskaria: SOE Synergy For Indonesia-France Relations

Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara Indonesia Dony Oskaria said that the celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and France is an important momentum for state-owned enterprises (BUMN) under the management of Danantara to strengthen cultural diplomacy. 

According to him, BUMN's support in this series of state visits was carried out professionally and reflected the spirit of Indonesian hospitality to the world. 

"We want to ensure that every aspect of this state visit reflects Indonesia's excellence in welcoming state guests. Cultural diplomacy is an important part of international relations, and we are committed to continuing to support this effort," said Dony in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday. 

Through the synergy between InJourney Destination Management and InJourney Airports, said Dony, BUMN supports President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Borobudur Temple, Central Java, to present a classy state experience at the world heritage site. 

Danantara Indonesia is committed to continuing to support cultural diplomacy as part of a strategy to strengthen international relations and expand cross-sector collaboration space, for inclusive and sustainable economic growth. 

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his respect and admiration for Borobudur Temple. 

On that occasion, President Macron called the historic building as evidence of Indonesia's cultural richness. 

"So, in this place I would like to express our deep respect and admiration for the richness of Indonesia's artistic and cultural history," said Macron in a statement at the Borobudur Temple courtyard, Magelang, Central Java, Thursday (5/29/2025). 

President Macron said that Borobudur Temple is a place of worship and a spiritual masterpiece of architecture that is proof of Indonesia's superiority. 

According to him, Borobudur is a manifestation of multilateralism and the spirit of partnership. 

This is reflected in the cooperation between the Indonesian government and UNESCO which has succeeded in preserving and registering this temple as a world cultural heritage.
